Review: Vistas of Infinity

Meine lieben Träumer! (English version below)

Im heutigen Lesefokus:
Das Buch «Vistas of Infinity – How to Enjoy Life When You Are Dead» von Jurgen Ziewe.

This book deals with the reality of our life after death, not spirit communication, but actual visits with all sensory perception in tact using Out-of-Body travel. Jurgen Ziewe has spent over forty years refining his OBE skills via a lifelong practice of deep meditation. The author projects his consciousness into parallel dimensions and non-physical reality systems whilst retaining full waking awareness throughout. He probes into the infinite vistas of human consciousness and brings back detailed accounts of his journeys and observations.
The reports gathered followed a strict research protocol, where the author interviewed dead people and visited the higher dimensional realities, from the darkest places to the most illuminated regions of cosmic consciousness and realms which are traditionally referred to as ‘Heaven’.
These are lively, first-hand accounts providing a narrative which is destined to revolutionize old concepts and perspectives.

  • We will never know what will happen to us when we die unless we can see for ourselves.
  • If you want to find out about life after your death, pay attention to your dreams.
  • Getting into these levels beyond the Astral is an undertaking that requires a mindset and attitude free of all its previous identification and attachments.
  • In reality we are all ‘chosen ones’, linked to our Source, but because we all are, it doesn’t make us anything special.
  • Expectations are informed by what we know; meditation often delivers what we don’t know.
  • It is the nature of nonphysical reality that nothing can remain hidden, and who we were and who we are will be clear for all the world to see.

Vielen Dank für eure Aufmerksamkeit!
Ich wünsche euch eine luzide Traumzeit!

Dear dreamers!

In today’s reading focus:
The book „Vistas of Infinity – How to Enjoy Life When You Are Dead“ by Jurgen Ziewe.

As the name suggests, the author is a German illustrator who has written a comprehensive work on the subject of out-of-body experiences.

Let’s start with the promising description first:

To include some of my already introduced review categories:

Relation to lucid dreaming:
Although the author deliberately tries to avoid the phenomenon of lucid dreaming because it is not part of his developmental path, he does not reject it. You gain important insights on how meditation and focused intent can induce both out-of-body experiences and lucid dreams. Besides, as part of the practical use of the book, you also learn a possible method how lucid dreams can be turned into OBEs and how low astral planes can be left on purpose.

Try this associated experiment of mine:

Sing the „OM“ in both states of consciousness (especially in the void after you have left your body). Does a change occur?

No risk of disconnection throughout the book (even if you lack time upon starting): I found the structure very pleasant – author’s realizations and reflections were alternated between vivid and creative out-of-body reports.

The special features of this work are:

  • The distance from any religious beliefs: If you would like to read a book about OBEs without the influences of a certain faith tradition (like the works by Robert Monroe, for instance), then you won’t be disappointed in this case.
  • The spiritual growth of the author is constantly evolving, until answering the questions at the end, which have both touched and made me think:
    – How can you reach the ‘Astral heavens’ and what lies beyond them? Which attitude is essential and how can ‘an act of conscious surrender’ support you?
    – When are you awakened? How does the perception of reality change then?
    – What is a qualitative meditation made of?

All in all, if you are interested in the nature of the astral world including its higher spheres, you might also want to visit Jurgen Ziewe’s website, which you will find by clicking here.

Some inspiring quotes at the end:

  • We will never know what will happen to us when we die unless we can see for ourselves.
  • If you want to find out about life after your death, pay attention to your dreams.
  • Getting into these levels beyond the Astral is an undertaking that requires a mindset and attitude free of all its previous identification and attachments.
  • In reality we are all ‘chosen ones’, linked to our Source, but because we all are, it doesn’t make us anything
    special.
  • Expectations are informed by what we know; meditation often delivers what we don’t know.
  • It is the nature of nonphysical reality that nothing can remain hidden, and who we were and who we are will be clear for all the world to see.

I thank you for your attention and wish you a lucid week!
Alex
